Hi,

We need to manage Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution in ARIS.

We have these ARIS tools -

  • ARIS Business Designers
  • ARIS IT Designers
  • ARIS SOA Designers
  • ARIS UML Designers
  • ARIS Business Architects
  • ARIS IT Architects.

Do we require any additional tools to capture CPM in ARIS? or these tools are enough?

Few of the things we plan to do for CPM are:

-System configuration and master data definition:

-Data feeds definition:

-Integration with data sources:

-Dashboard prototypes integration and format finalization

-Solution Testing:

-Training and knowledge transfer:

This is urgent. And i know that this may be incomplete information, but a guesswork will help me to deicide.

Thanks and please reply soon as said it is urgent matter.

Regards

NL

Dear Nelson,

You confused me when with your article titled Corporate Strategy Management, because in your article you refer to the abbreviation CPM which stands usually for Corporate Performance Management. And reading your task list it seems as if you are up to implement a performance measurement system. Is that your plan?

As for capturing the requirements and plan your solution you should be fine with the products you listed up. Actually, ARIS Business Architect should be sufficient  So much for the built time of your CPM solution.

But for doing actually the job of measuring and analyzing the master data at runtime when the data source (system) delivers runtime data you definitely need another system from the arena of Business Intelligence or Process Intelligence, such as ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM):

However, I recommend you to look for a full life cycle support of your project, that is from requirements phase over implemeting and operating such a CPM solution. To do so, please review the solution scenario Process-Driven Business Intelligence:

This is a procedural model for implementing of ARIS PPM following the guiding principles of ARIS Value Engineering (AVE):

I hope that helps you.

Cheers

Rune

Thanks Rune for the guidance. I didnt even notice that I had replaced Performance with Strategy. Sorry for the confusion.
