Hi,
I want to delete a databse from a server in Aris Business Architect for SAP 7.2. I created 2-3 databses for practice and now I need to delete them since they are of no use.Since I have created the database,I will be the administrator right? I could not find any option for deletion, hence I searched in Aris Help Topics,I found I have to delete from Aris Site Administrator. I tried to search what it exactly is,but I am not able to understand. Can anybody please help me on this front? Also please does anyone know how to rename a database?
Thanks!
Anaya
Dear Anaya,
To delete an ARIS database from an ARIS Business Architect you don't need the ARIS Site Administrator.
Instead, in ARIS Business Architect change to the Administration module. Then open the tree of your ARIS Business Server (click the + symbol). Then you will see all databases on that server. Right click on that database you'd like to delete. On the context menu of the selected database you will find a menu item Delete. Click it to delete that database.
Cheers
Rune
Hi Anaya,
I just liked to add one remark: via the Administration module in the ARIS Business Architect, you can also rename databases. Just select the database in the table on the right hand side (you must not be logged-in into that database) and just rename it via F2 or context menu.
Bye,
Frank
Dear Anaya,
on the ARIS Documentation Server you can access the Server Installation and Administration Guide, where the ARIS Site Administrator is explained.
And Software AG's Global Eduction Services offers a training course "ARIS Server Installation".
