Hi Community,

I have some problem when I importing filter/template to ARIS Architect 9.8. with local database system (98.1.0.1021446)

When I try to import filter ARIS showed me massage "To import the file you must have the "ARIS Access" license privilege" and when I trying to import template "Unable to import template. For further information, please refer to the log file in the installation directory"

Before that I used ARIS 9.0, 9.6, 9.7  with same license key and I had no problem with importing filters or templates

It would be great if someone could help me with this question

Best regards,

Gadzhi-Efendi Chalaviev

Dear Gadzhi,

Make sure you have ARIS Access License first to import filters in ARIS 9x versions.

Plz do check in UMC under license privileges the respective user has license assigned to him and then try to import, this should work.

Cheers,

Zuheb.

Hello Zuheb,

Thanks for your comment.

But this doesn't work because we have only one ARIS Architect without installed ARIS Connect or Design server and there isn't ARIS Administration portal (localhost/umc)

Best regards,

Gadzhi-Efendi

Yes, UMC is not accessible for LOCAL. Replacing ARIS license keys in LOCAL is available only via a special option shown when you run the ARIS Client setup once again on a computer where ARIS Architect + LOCAL is already installed.

Exported filters are encrypted if the license ARIS Access was missing at the time of the export.

Check your ARIS license files, typically several XML files in one ZIP file. One should have a ProductCode YAA for ARIS Architect and another one YAAAC for ARIS Access. If the latter one is missing, contact your local Software AG sales representative and ask for that missing key.

Cheers

Rune

Hi

I am just facing the same issue after installing the academic cient ARIS architect client with local DB. During import of the license file, I did import the zip. The zip unfortunately does not contain the "YAAAC" for ARIS access.

Here comes the question:

being new to the ARIS community, where can I obtain the missing key?

Regards, Markus

Adding to this: how can I install it afterwards?

Dear Markus,

The ARIS Education Package (AEP) does not include the ARIS Access license. However, within certain restrictions it is possible for faculty members to request one from University Relations. I've sent you an email with further information.

Best regards,

Felix
