Hi,
I would like to install ARIS Design Server in our faculty inside an VM environment. Unfortunately, the hardware requirements are quite high with 6-8 CPU cores and up to 16 GB RAM.

I expect that 40 of my students will work in parallel with the server.
Does anyone have any experiences with using less cores and RAM and what are the minimal requirements in reality for non-professional purposes?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Armin
Hello Armin,
I may not be much help in terms of operational experience. But from practice: If you were a company with 40 modellers you definitely wouldn't be a "small" client any more. Probably your server only serves its purpose during your seminar, but then you need the power to support all your clients concurrently. So you should definitely go for the "medium profile" installation. In my humble opinion those hardware requirements aren't that extreme nowadays. A powerful business notebook meets those requirements.
