Hello
I am wondering if there is either a website or PDF or some doc type that lists each of the ARIS Model Types and the associated Symbols you see.
We are looking for a certain set and the only way we can think of is to actually create every ARIS Model Type there is to view the symbols.
Any ideas are very welcome.
Brian
Hello Brian,
I always look into the ARIS help under ARIS Method help/ Model types to find out which symbols and objects are allowed in a model. Another option would be to look into the Method in the ARIS Administration menu. There you can find the same information under Configuration/Method/Model types.
Hope this helps
Regards
Florian
Brian,
You can also download or find a document "ARIS Method tables.pdf", it lists all models and object types (not symbols), and also includes information on available connections, attributes, etc. It should also list multiple connections (when a pair of objects can have more then one connection definition, this is something you cannot see anywhere in the UI) but in my version of this document all connections are marked Unique.
Best regards,
Alex
That document is part of the ARIS DVD in folder .\Documents\English\ARIS Method Tables.pdf.
As a side note:
- ARIS Method.pdf introduces the ARIS methodology principles
- ARIS Method Matrix.xlsx lets you check which ARIS model type belongs to which ARIS product/license
Cheers
