We are using ARIS 9.8, and I am trying to write a report javascript that takes a prepared PPTX file used as template, and populates som fields with ARIS data and then returns the modified PPTX as output.
I have done some initial trials using docx4j and Aspose.Slides but can not get it up and running. Has anyone done something similar (i.e. PPTX modifications via a Report script) already, and can give an example?
Best regards,
CC
Hi Carl Christian,
I would prefer using the Aspose library because it supports a wider range of features and seems to have a very active community even for pptx format. I also personally like that the code written with Aspose is much shorter compared to POI or docx4j. And you do not need to have knowledge of the underlying OpenXML file structure.
You mention you can not get it up and running. What exactly do you mean with this? Do you have a problem loading the Aspose JAR files? Have you tried loading the libraries on your own via URLClassLoader?
Regards,
Philipp
A while ago a Javascript for generating .DOCX files using docx4j has been posted:

Please share with the communityyour working script for generating/filling .PPTX files with ARIS report output!
Cheers
