Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has any ideas if it will be possible to export/print (graphic, pdf,?) a model where the link attribute is active? For example I can print my model as a pdf file, but the links are not active in the pdf. I would hope to see an html export function which makes an image map, or a pdf with the links active.
We currently save our visio files as gifs, then use functionality in Lotus Notes to create hotspots on the pictures. If I could cut the process in 1/2 it would be great.
Sharing the adf file will not work. I know I can also publish via the professional products, but that opens a new can of worms that I do not want to open at this time.
thanks
donald
Hi Donald,
this is not possible with ARIS Express. This requirement is an interesting one and we will discuss it internally, but we have also to care that the tool does not becomes too complex. ARIS Express is designed for very easy access to modeling, not to offer the most powerful or complex functionality. And as you write we offer professional products with the required capability, so if one really needs it he is free to switch to them.
Regards
Uwe
Hello Donald
When exporting the model contents as PDF (2nd PDF icon), and not just as model graphic (1rst PDF icon), the hyperlinks are active in the object list attributes.
Like you, I would prefer to have the hyperlink active directly in the graphic as well. We don't really want to have all potential model reader as a registered ARIS Express person, so we also wish that the PDF files have a little more functionality to avoid publishing the .adf files to the whole community.
