My Mashzone server shuts down randomly, sometimes when I am working on it and sometimes when I am away from my desk.  I have had it stay running for 48 hours but I have also had to reboot it twice within 1 hour.

My server is running on a regular PC but it is well above requirements specified in the MZ documentation.  Are there any known triggers that could cause problems, for example I am also connecting to my ARIS Business Architect on the same machine and it calls up Java for ARIS access?

Any recommendation on which log files to examine to see what is prompting the shutdown?

thanks

donald

Hi Donald,

what kind of license file do you use? The free one which is available via this community? Or do you use an (evaluation) license which has been given to you by Software AG?

Stephan

Stephan,

I am using a professional license (3 users) we bought from SAG.

Are you sure that the license file is used by one installation of MashZone, only? If not, it might be the trigger. Once MashZone servers detect an indentical key used by other servers they shut down each other.

MashZone's log files are found within your installation directory, i.e. within system/tomcat/logs.

In case your problem persists I may ask you to direct your question to ARIS support to troubleshoot offline.
