I have saved ARIS Express and Java 6(1.6.0.24) onto my computer and installed both.  I have followed all the steps in the ARIS instrallation and after I have registered on the ARIS communication website, my system does not load the ARIS Express application at all.  It shows the following error message:

CouldNotLoadArgumentException[ Could not load file/URL specified: C:\Users\Admin\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\45\72b5016d-1340f11f]

 at com.sun.javaws.Main.launchApp(Unknown Source)

 at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Unknown Source)

 at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)

 at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

I hve checked the file location and JAVA is located int he folder.  Had anyone else experienced the same problem?  Please help!

Regards

Erika

Hi Erika.

it might be that your Java Cache, where the application is stored, is too small. Please proceed like this:

  1. go to the system panel
  2. open the java panel
  3. according to the example below, make sure, that the java cache is big enough
  4. in addition, click "delete files" and delete the java cache by accepting both options in the appearing dialog (it is also a good idea to delete the location manually afterwards)

Afterwards, please to the install again.

Did that help?

Bye,

Frank

Hi Frank,

I am getting the same error again and again. ARIS express just works once. After that when I close it, it gives this error. Then I need to follow the steps which you have mentioned above and resinstall ARIS express. But then again it works just one time and the second time when I open it, I get the error.

I am on Windows 7. Can you tell me what could be wrong here ?

Thanks and Regards,

MITESH

Hi Mitesh,

are you sure that the option "keep temporary files on my computer" is set?

Frank

Hi Frank,

Yes that option is set. Yesterday I changed the location of cache files to a different folder. Then it worked for few times and today again I have the same problem.

Looks like something is not right on my Windows 7 machine. It works without any issues on my other laptop which has Vista.

I have saved ARIS Express and Java 6(1.6.0.26) onto my computer and installed both (including the necessary Java options).  I have followed all the steps in the ARIS instrallation and I have registered on the ARIS communication website.

Every time, when I want to start ist, I´ve to go through the first time start procedure; i addition, my system shows enormous performance problems (it takes appr. 30 second to create a process symbol) -

can you help ?

Thanks in advance
