A new ARIS Platform release is now available. ARIS Platform is now cloud ready. We have certified our platform to run on Amazon Web Services and VMWare. In addition, there are several new features, for example:

  • improvement of the webMethods integration
  • new backup module in ARIS Business Publisher
  • bidirectional transfer of attributes between ARIS and SAP Solution Manager during the SAP synchronization
  • new standard reports, for example, the “Compare models” report

You can obtain the latest ARIS version by contacting our support organization or downloading it from the ARIS Download Center.

Hello Eva,

the new features sound very interesting!

Do you mean SR 7.2.0.589499? I read the newsletter and it does not mention any of the features you mention.

Thanks,

Augustina

Hi Augustina,

yes I mean the new service release ARIS 7.2 SR2. You can find the features that I mentioned above in the ARIS Delta Paper from the ARIS Download Center. You can find this paper under ARIS Documents.

Regards

Eva

Eva,

any chance for real delta document at SR? I mean there is of course the Release Notes that gives a list of things (rarely a comprehensive one) and the very high-level delta paper between releases but I would expect, and I guess other ARIS users will support me, to have the list of all changes:

- new/changed capabilities

- full list of bug fixes

- new/changed objects

- new/changes models

- new/changed script methods

- new/changed macro methods

- changes in the Help and Method help

- changes in the documents (manuals etc)

May be that's asking too much. But that's information that SAG have and should be proud of. Then why hiding it?

I can back you up on this one. I also found that the Delta paper could be a little bit more explicit. If you didn't spot a particular bug before it was corrected, it can be pretty hard to understand some of the lines.

Its actual form is "software editor" centered (listed by products) but as you suggest a more "user" centered version would be more useful (listed by kind of changes).
