Hello ARIS-community,
I have a question concering the differences between the web and business publisher. I didnt find concrete articles or delta papers for answering this question. What I already know is the following:
1. The business publisher is web-based and seems to be the successor of business publisher and is using a java-client instead of the old windows-clients.
2. The business publisher displays html pages, that are dynamically generated at runtime. The data comes from the database, where the processes are modelled.
3. The web publisher generates static html files and the data is stored in these files.
4. The web publisher has only a file size of 12mb and the business publisher 334mb.
So the web publisher seems to have limited features (but which ones???).
Thanks in advance and regards,
Frank
Hello Frank,
I don't know if the difference between these products plays a role anymore. The ARIS Web Publisher is not more on our price list (together with ARIS Toolset it has been removed), so you cannot buy it. The current available versions of the product (based on ARIS 7.0x and 7.1) will come into de-support over the next year at different points in time. The product for publishing of content from an ARIS database is now the ARIS Business Publisher exclusively. ARIS Business Publisher covers the use cases that were possible with ARIS Web Publisher, but is more powerful.
