I'm evaluating aris express to use in oure organisation. So far it went well untill this moment.

After the downloading time I get over and over the application error: Unable to launch the application.

I removed the app with the java viewer.

Reinstalled, restarted. Same error. I clean up the caches, remove any possible trace of aris. Same result.

I'm admin on the machine.

In the java console I get this dump:

It is solved. In the user directory was still a folder for Aris present. (empty though) After removing that one, re-install it, worked.

I strongly suggest to avoid such things as I already had twice a blocked application within 6 months. The solution is not something that standard users can perform.

I have the same problem, but can't run application till now. My steps are:

1. Start App

2. App runs download

3. App try to do some verification and error occur: "Unable to lunck the application."

I think I had the same problem on a Linux test system.

A setting in the Java Control Panel solved it.

Java Control Panel -> Advanced -> Security

Disable Mixed code verification.

I'm also having troubles launching the application.

If anyone has a solution I would be very happy.  
Setting in the Java Control panel didn't solve it.

But somehow I doubt it.

I would reinstall ARIS Express.

I assume that you are working on Windows.

Delete this directory:

C:\documents and settings\<your username>\ARISExpress

Delete the cache in the Java Control panel. Hit everything so applications and applets are deleted as well. But be careful if you have other Java Webstart Applications installed!

Now install ARIS Express with http://download.ariscommunity.com/aris-express-setup.exe

Hopefully it will work then.
