I have just hoovered into ARIS Express and I find it very competetive for a free Process Mapping tool.
However,
I was not able to find the option where I could drill down a process to sub-process details (atomic task) and so forth similar to what I used to do with SSADM tool and some other new tools without naming them.
Some of them is either by clicking on the process or clicking the right mouse you expand the process and write into another page which is connect... and so forth
??

Hi Hassan,
I hope that the following link to ARIS Express help provides the answer to your question:

Hi Hassan,
we have created a small video showing how that works. The video is available on Youtube. For your convenience, I embed it below:

Thank you Sabastian.
If I create one single process Model, is there a way to drill down to several levels of details. What the video shows implies that you have to have more than one separate ARIS files to link them. but, will this work if u want to drill down to another element in the same model?
Hi Sebastian,
Thanks for your video showing how to add sub-processes. When replicating the steps you did another Aris account opens instead. So at the end I have two Aris accounts open, one with the main process and another with the sub-process. Is this a bug or something?
Btw, I am using Aris Express.
Thanks in advance!
Julian
Hi Ivo,
I suggest that this is not solved inside ARIS Express. Instead, you could map the folder to a special drive letter and reference the ADF files from this drive. By doing so, the links will be stable, even if the actual location of the folder structure is moved.

Sebastian
Well, that's not the best solution but anyway I could live with that.
There was something wrong with saving the comment. I got the message the it was unseccessfull and the comment field was blank so I retyped it and now I see it appeared twice. I saw similar behaviour before. Just to let you know. I'm using FF 3.5.
I speaking of the community system capabilities, it's good staff don't get me wrong but there a few things quite common in similar social environment even in the free ning, like email follow-up of discussions and the ability to see who has recently joined the community and what is the current member count. These a very simple things but I believe that a KPI such as the number of new posts/comment per day will increase. And may be a new group ARIS Community would gather improvement suggestions and I'm sure that would steer the upgrade plans you have anyway.
Cheers
Ivo
Hi Ivo,
I saw your 2 comments. We also saw this kind of behaviour. We hope an update to be released soon will fix this, but it is very hard to track it down.
About missing community features: We are aware about those things and they are on our development roadmap. But we are currently trying to make the community more stable and faster before we push out new features.
Anyway, please feel always free to suggest new features. We have an eye on it and put it in our internal requirements list.
Cheers,
Sebastian
PS: We have a member counter. Just take a look how many people are member of the We love BPM group...
Sure but then there are two tiny numbers which have a lot of value and don't take much space: number of new comments and number of members. I'm sure that most of the people that are not subscribed through RSS don't bother clicking on the "new comments" tab being used to the default "latest".
@Omar Linking in ARIS Express is only possible to complete files, but not the certain elements within those models. In our professional ARIS Platform products you can reuse objects from one model in another one. For example, if you change the name of a role in an organisational chart, the name of this role will be also changed in all business process models where this role occurs.
