Hi William,

I had emailed the ARIS global support with my logfiles (they send me a zip for me to extract the stuff for their troubleshooting). Meanwhile, i had asked my connection in linkedin. You can see if it will help.

Method 1

"Hi Irvin, from what I know, I can tell you that

* The first version of ARIS 9 does not come with Local server as an installation option

* The 1st update in June 2013 has the installation option, but it does not work yet

I'm afraid connecting to server is to only option for ARIS 9 for now."

Method 2

"ARIS 9 release with LOCAL server is aveliable now. So, if you have access to new ARIS release, first try to uninstall fortmer ARIS 9, instal a new release with LOCAL server installation, stop all ARIS 9 services, Clear up log folders:

\ARIS9.0\localserver\bin\work\work_abs_local\base\logs

\ARIS9.0\localserver\bin\work\work_abs_local\base\webapps\abs\log

\ARIS9.0\localserver\bin\log

and

%userprofile%/ARIS90/log

restart services again. It helped in my case. Good luck!"

Keep you updated if there is any news from the ARIS support.

With Regards,

Irvin Lim

Hi William,

i installed on the local instead of the VMware player. It was successful.

The spec for local was

Intel Core i7 CPU @ 2.7Ghz

Ram 8.0 GB

Window 7 Professional.

The VMware player

Windows Server 2008 R2 x64

Ram 4.0 GB

Perhaps you could share with me the specification of your PC and what did you install

Hi Irvin,

It seems to be a problem with the network configuration of my company.  When i start with my private internet connexion it works fine but when i start behind the firewall and proxies it does'nt work.  I don't know if it's possible to configure some parameters for the proxy...

I'm still waiting the answer form Aris Support.

Any idea ?

Many thanks for your help/information.

William

Hello, Everyone

I was reading all post and tried everything (couple of times). I instaled Aris 9.0 Client had problems with Local  . Next day i uninstall 9.0 and installed 9.5. Did it couple of times even.

Errors i get :  "Remote clients are not allwed for this server" - Then i tried disconnecting from LAN  and im getting " You can't get access to Aris Server". My colleague with the same computer setting installed Aris from the same file and after "remote" error  he disconnected LAN and he can  open Aris Local..

I tried reinstalling aris, cleaning logs and so on how can i check the source of the problem or resolve this problem.
