We’re going to start a project and we need KPI information/ representation in our EPC and EPC row models in Business Designer. Our idea is to show in these models where is the concrete point in the process, activity or event affected and measure involved in the respective KPI.
As a second priority for the future, we would like to use this information later in the ARIS Optimizer so we don’t want to start a representation for later realize that is not useful for other analysis.
We’ve seen the KPI instance object but we’re not so sure if this is the right object and how to use it in the models.
Any ideas or which is the best practice when can follow as a starting point?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Jaume
Hello Jaume,
the KPI instance object ist a good idea. In the past we had projects with customers that used this approach in combination with a kind of kpi catalogue. They just made occurences of the kpi instance objects they used in their epc's in a kpi allocation diagramm. Within this diagram, they also modeled responsible roles to the kpi objects and made categories of the types of kpi they are going to measure. In the Business Optimizer, they imported this catalogue then and had a nice instrument to administrate their kpi project.
Hope this might help.
Regards,
Stefan
Hi Jos
Next month we'll start our discussions in KPIs & Services & SLAs representation in order to get the agreement between all the involved teams.
Regarding KPIs in EPC row models, we have just made occurences of the kpi objects defined in the allocation diagrams and used in the EPC row models ... Still bot the best solution but started with it.
Kind regards
Jaume
Hi Siddhart,
We have chosen:
1. KPI Allocation Diagram:
- for organize and classify the KPI's (as a library model)
- to make the goverance (RACI) KPI's smart by link persontype (is measured by, is under responsible of)
2. FAD-model to link the KPI to the process
