Hi,
I have succesfully downloaded ARIS Express. And it starts up as expected and runs perfectly well.
My problem is that after closing the session down, there is no shortcut created at my Windows desktop to start my ARIS Express again, as it was the case with the BETA version.
Should there be a shortcut availabe or do I have to download every time I want to use?
If available could you please forward a shortcut or inform me how to create a new one?
A reason for the problem might be that I had the BETA release of ARIS Express installed, but I expect that the uninstall process has not been executed according to specs. I think that folders and shortcuts were just deleted and that neither a proper uninstall nor an upgrade was performed!
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
maybe the following discussion helps you to solve this problem: http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/jcarter/2009-09-15-aris-express-shortcut-lost
Best regards

Hi,
the Beta version should not be a problem but just updated with the new one. On some machines, we had the case that after the update the shortcut was still there, but a "default" icon, which was replaced later on.
Just make sure the JRE application cache is big enough.
Some "clean up" programs also delete the application. Be sure that, if you use such a software, the Java application cache is not deleted.
Bye,
Frank
