Hello, I am new to MashZone and was introduced to the product at ProcessWrold 2010 conference in Washington D.C. I am using the professional version of ARIS MashZone. I trying to create a dashboard and I am running into 200KB file size limitiation. Most of the files I need to pull the data from are around 5MB. Is there anyway to get around this limit? Thanks Jigar
Hi,
MashZone can access data from files in two different ways. You can have the data files in /resource directory of your MashZone installation. If the data changes in the files, the changes are also reflected when the feed is calculated for the next time.
Additionally to the resource directory, you can specify other folder locations in the administration module. With this alternative the data is not persisted in MashZone. The file size could be much bigger than 200k.
The other alternative is to upload the data into the feed. The data is then copied statically into feed. If you want to change the data, you have to upload it again. For this option the 200k limit is being applied.
Thanks for the response Markus,
When you say "The file size could be much bigger than 200k." do you know the approximate size? The reason I am asking this is because I created a secondary directory in addition to resouce directory and I tried to attach the 2.5 MB file and I got following message.
"Data source "WeekEndingJun132010\EXTRACTJun13.xlsx" is larger than 1 MB. It cannot be imported."
Thanks,
Jigar
