Hello,

I'm using ARIS Express 2.4 and trying to export a Business Process Model to PDF format but I'm receiving the following error:

Error while creating report:

Report: Export graphic as PDF, line 17 cannot create output objectnull

We tried in three different notebooks without sucess. Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 8.

Can anyone help us?

Thanks.

Hi,

is it possible that you do not have write access to the directory where the files should be stored?

In the log files (%userprofile%\ARISExpress\log and %userprofile%\ARISExpress\server\log) hints should be given.

Bye,

Frank

Hi,

yes, we found out what the problem is. The new JRE versions restrict the access rights to your machine. We will have a look on this.

Bye,

Frank

Dear Frank,

the problem still persists with Aris Express 2.4a. I reported it again here.

Best regards,

Axel Suppantschitsch.

Hi,

currently, there is no way around this.

You already posted the question also in here.

This has been introduced with JRE 1.7 update 21, which hindered Express to start at all as webstart version. We are happy, that we found a solution to make it start again, but we did not manage to get rid of the problem during the PDF export.

Sorry, so far.

Bye,

Frank

Sorry,

So there's no way to export a chart to PDF?

Is it?

Hi,

I'm facing the same error message as above using Aris Express 2.4a version. Will it be possible to export to pdf in this version in the future? If so, when do you expect to have this fixed? or is the only way to get the full version?

I have taken over some process charts from a colleague (who is on a Long term leave of absence) and need to update the charts and send them as pdfs to a customer "yesterday".

Could you please help out?

KR, Jennifer

On my MAC I was able to create a PDF by selecting print and taking the PDF option from there.
