Hi All,
I hope someone can shed some light on this. I have been trying to install ARIS 9.7 Design server on Ubuntu 14.04 without success. I am able to install the ARIS Cloud Agent and ARIS Cloud Controller on Linux, and then I complete the installation from a Windows machine as instructed by the Installation Guide. The installation completes without any errors or warnings, but when I try to run the startall command from the acc.sh shell I get a message saying "No node specified and no current node set".
What does this mean?
Has anyone else managed to successfully install ARIS 9.7 on Ubuntu?
Dear Kobus,
You need to tell ARIS Cloud Controller to connect to a specific ARIS installation. As ARIS 9 supports distributed installations we call that node as there could be more than one existing.
The following two commands connect ACC to a node.
You need to change the server name MyUbuntuServer to your installation and feel free to replace MyUbuntu with any name as it is just a logical node name to which ARIS installation ACC is able to be connected to. Once ACC is connected to an installation you are set to use the full command set of ACC on that node:
add node MyUbuntu MyUbuntuServer Clous g3h31m
set current node MyUbuntu
In the "ARIS Server Installation and Administration Guide.pdf" search for "add node" to get more information about this.
Cheers
