Dear All,
I am new to ARIS MashZone and am facing an issue. I am connecting to Oracle database and am fetching some records for my data feed to be later used in a mashApp.
The connection is successfully tested but after every 4-5 runs to fetch the data from the data feed, i receive an error stating all database connections are in use and the connection fails.
I tried to increase the connection pool but it is somehow not helping the cause. I have also noted that if i test the connection after i receive this error, the connection test works fine and is successfull.
This is hard for me to work out and would need assistance from you all.
Thanking in advance,
Kushal Bangabash
Hi Kushal,
some questions in advance.
Which version of MashZone do you use?
How did you structure your data feed - do you use multiple database operators in parallel? How many users are using your dashboards in parallel?
Do subsequent connections work in your feed (not counting connection tests) after the error message appeared?
Hi Helmut,
Please find my reply below;-
Mashzone version:- 2.2.0.0.1524
As per the structure goes, i am just joining couple of tables in my DB and fetching the data. Also, as this is just a POC, only ihave access to this data feed for which i have 5 different users to login from. But, ideally, i use only 1 of the 5 users available to me at any given point of time.
When i connect for the first time, the data feeds work fine. Then, when i run the MashApp, it says "Error calculating data feed along with the data feed name". After this, when i try to run the data feed, it gives the required rows.
Ques: If data feed is fine, why does the MashApp find it difficult to calculate the data feed results.
Next, after couple of more tries with the mashApp, when i check the data feed, it displays the earlier communicated message of error due to connection failure.
But, 1 amazing thing to note is that one another MashApp works fine which is also connecting to the same DB.
Has the relation between my data feed and MashApp corrupted due to some unknown reason.??
I tried to create a different data feed and fetched data from the same tables but its all in vain. It also fetches data for 2-4 times and then shows this connection error.
Kindly let me kow if you need any further information on this issue.
Thanks and regards,

Hello Kushal.
To upgrade an existing MashZone installation just run the setup of the new version you want to have. Please remember to use the right platform depending setup (32bit or 64bit). If you upgrade your MashZone 2.2 you can also use the latest version 2.3 of MashZone.
A detailled documentation of an installation and update of ARIS MashZone can be found in the web.
Best regards
Markus
