Hello,

Here in my organization in Croatia no one can help me with this problem, so I need some help from you guys.

For several years we have a "Function" map of our organization (processes of every single division) but of course there are processes that run across the divisions and this we cannot visualize up to now and the idea is not to have many separated maps but with one click to open either function or process landscape - but how to make it so easy. Do you know a way, how can I make a landscape 2 in 1 - to show function (silos) map and process map (processes that run across those functions) at one and the same time. Or if this is not possible any ideas how can we display the connected activities between the silos that form a process. Or if there is a functionality how can I see the common / connected activities among the divisions.

Dear Lubo,

Have you thought about end-to-end processes to complement the process view of hierarchical processes?

E2E typically span across functional areas (org. silos) to provide a consistent and complete view from the requirement up to its fulfillment.

Cheers

Rune

Hi Rune,

thank you for your answer I saw the blog with E2E "fire & Ice" but I really don't find a way how this can help me - we have more than 16 divisions and there are different processes in which dept. participate (not only 1 process). The problem is that we are searching for a way how to create somehow 2 in 1 Enterprise map (VACD or other, have no idea) from which easily to navigate depending which view we would like to see (functional or process view) choosing to go on the next level either to see:

-  silos processes (EPC) or

- processes that run accross org silos (EPC)

Something like the picture below - but how can ARIS help regarding this issue. Or if there is no way for such visualization is there a way at least to show in a matrix in which processes a particular department have role in ARIS Designer (to be available also in Publisher). I am really desperate in searching a solution. Thank you in advance for the time spent
