Hi Community,

Is there a way to identify in an ARIS script if an attribute is boolean, a value attribute, a text attribute etc.? Escpecially the first two types/ formats/ kinds (I don't even know how they are called) are important to me.

Attribute.Type and Attribute.TypeNum do not work as they just provide the name/ type number of the attribute (e.g. Identifier, Type Number 55). I have tried KindNum() but this does not seem to work either. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

try to use:

item.Database().ActiveFilter().AttrBaseType(attrtypenum)

then check the result with the following constant:

Constants.ABT_BOOL

Regards,

Jens

Thank you, Jens! The Attribute Base Type is exactly what I was looking for. Works perfect!

Best regards,

Martin
