How can I create a data model?

Hi,

I am new using ARIS 7.1, please could you give the steps to create a data model. I need to represent the entities with their attributes, and the relation between the entities.

Sebastian,

I already checked the video tutorial, However I'm using Aris Arquitecture 7.1 and it seem to work different. I am able to create the entities with their attributes, but I cannot establish a relation between the entities. Do you have any idea how I can do it ? Do you have any idea how I can do it ? Thanks in advance for your help.

Mmmh, sounds strange. It could be that the connection type between the entities is not allowed in your filter. Please try logging in to your database using "Entire Method" filter. Also, try to find some example models in the supplied demo database "United Motors Group".

It may also be the model type you are using. The ERM method, in the eERM model type, does not allow direct connections between entity types, you must create a relationship type object and connect both entitiy types to it. If you want to create relationship types as lines between entitiy types take a look at the IE Data Model.
