Hi Community,
I've downloaded the ARIS DVD Iso from the University Relations page and installed it successfully on my Windows 8 Virtual Machine. After the installation I could start the Business Architecture and connect to the local database. This was 3 days ago and today I've tried to start BA again but without success. The Splashscreen opens when double clicking on the shortcut, disapears after 10 seconds and after that, nothing happens. The task manager shows no ARIS BA process.
I've tried to reinstall ARIS 7.2 but after installing it again, the same thing happens. I really don't know why the programm doesn't launch.
My System configuration is:
Hostsystem: Mac OS X with VMWare Fusion
Guestsystem: Windows 8 Pro 32bit with JRE 1.6 Update 38
I don't get any error message and i can't find any logfiles of ARIS on the system. Anybody knows why it doesn't work?

Hey Matthias, Windows 8 isn't supported by ARIS Business Architect 7.2. We offer a preconfigured virtual machine for ARIS Business Architect in our “ARIS Education Package - Process Design & Analysis”. It’s a VMware machine and should working in VMware Fusion. I recommend this package if somebody has got any Problems with the native installation of ARIS. Best Regards Kai-Hendrik

I strongly need your help for installing ARIS Business Architect on my Windows 7 notebook.
I've followed the procedure of the Installation guide, but I cannot complete the installation because at some point when I launch the VM, the system asks me to configure XP and to insert the license key. I don't own any license key for windows XP. How can I overcome this issue?
It's very urgent because my course will start in one week and I cannot use ARIS as a standalone application on my PC!!!

When I try to open the application the Splashscreen opens but disapears after 10-15 seconds and after that nothing happens. Exactly the same problem occurs when opening Aris Express on my Windows 7 Virtual Machine.
My System configuration is:
Hostsystem: Mac OS X 10.7.5. with VMWare Fusion
Guestsystem: Windows 7 Pro.

Hi Chris,
my ARIS installation works now for me on my system configuration. I had the option "mirrored folders" active in the vmware fusion "Sharing" settings for the VM. After deactivating this option ARIS started normally on my Windows 8 Guestsystem.
