Sorry Nelson for replying late. Your settings will only work if Firefox is your default browser. Double check that Internet Explorer has the correct settings, too.

Do you know if you are operating behind a web proxy? If yes, you may contact your IT department to give you the server's address so that you can configure it directly. The FAQ document describes how to configure proxy settings for Java so that they don't interfer with your browser.

Hi,

just one favor you could do: Thomas asked about the information displayed if you press the "details" button in the messages you sent as screenshots.

Bye,

Hi Nelson

the log you posted says that Java tries to use a proxy but the proxy is probably not running  ("Can't connect to SOCKS proxy:Connection refused: connect"). Can you check your Java  network settings (Windows controlpanel/Java)

If a proxy is configured try "Use browser settings" or "Direct connection".

Thanks Thomas, Finally Aris Express is installed on my Laptop.

I already had by default selected "Use browser settings" in the Java Window. So this time I selected "Direct Connection" and it started working. The whole file got installed and Aris Express is opened in front of me. Strangely in my case "Use deafault browser settings" didnt work.

Thanks so much for all the trouble and help that you all provided.

Thanks once again.

Regards

Nelson Lobo
