Dear All,

I am new to ARIS world. Currently, I am trying identify its use for SAP Projects. I have one question in this direction.

" Software AG mentions in its articles, that ARIS Process models can be built from pre-defined documents like SAP Best Practices. How are the SAP Best Practices documents converted into ARIS Business Process Models? "

Please help me with steps or documentation or videos in this direction.

Regards,

Nibha Priyadarshini

Hi Nibha,

You can syncronize ARIS Process Model with SAP Solution Manager using ARIS Busness Architect.

Please search this, "solman".

Toven

With ref to your question "How are the SAP Best Practices documents converted into ARIS Business Process Models? " -

Down load the SAP Practices for the selected industry from SAP site and models can be made in 3 ways.

1. Mapping the Process in Excel sheet and Import into ARIS. This will create models in ARIS
2. Models can be made in MS Visio Import into ARIS
3. Models can be made in ARIS Express and Import into ARIS.

Hope the information is clear

Hi Nibha,

SAP has a suite of pre-defined business processes stored in their Business Process Repository (BPR).

https://implementationcontent.sap.com/bpr

The BPR content can be accessed from the web using the above link or from within your solution manager project. This process structure and its included models are also known as business blueprints (documents).

The link below explains how to transfer contents from BPR to your Solution Manager project.

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ModHandbook/Business+Process+Repository+in+SAP+Solution+Manager

Now that you have transferred the contents into your Solution Manager project, you can synchronise this with ARIS.

The link below explains how to transfer a Solution Manager project to ARIS.

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ModHandbook/Synchronization+with+the+Solution+Manager

Once you've synchronised the models into ARIS you can then extend these models to suit your organisation's business processes.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Ganesh
