Hi, I'm a newbeey on ARIS Express but the 1st thing I noticed while playing around was that the header/footer appears not to be editable - i.e., you end up generating files with the ARIS logo. I assumed this was the penalty for using the free version? I could not directly see any documentation to state otherwise; could someone put me straight on this please? Sorry if this question has already been answered somewhere (I had a delve but nothing specific came up).

We have developed custom code to present to users the choice for the header at the time of creation of new models as shown below.

Once user selected the header let say BPM 3, the header will be applied automatically to the model.  It is flexible enough that user can create as many headers as they like and modelers will see all those header before the creation of new models.

Thanks for the information. This problem is only when creating pdf reports of models in Aris Express. So am I right in thinking I have to ask you about purchasing some code module or something? Don't understand why Aris has this limitation for reports.

I played around with that in Express and ARIS and both headers are editable once you ungroup the header (I assume that you used the fragment to insert the header). The PDF export does *not* add any logo etc. to the PDF file.

I have never used ARIS Express.

Does ARIS Express work in the same way as ABA and macro/report work on ARIS express??

Happy to share the code with community.

Hello Adnan,

AFAIK macro scripts only work in ABA not in Express.

I would appreciate very much if you could upload your script.

Thanks in advance, Martin

Althoug this is an old thread, I'm also intrested in this report just to make it easier for the aris modellers to add the correct header.

Also pinging this old thread. Dick, did you get any sample code?

Apparently, the overall right path to go is to associate a macro with a Model.Create event. Said Macro would then draw on the canvas.

Anyone with some starter code? If it draws a box, adds  a model attribute on top of the page, possibly inserts a PNG image - that would allow many to work this out.
