hello,
I'm trying to create a new model type in ARIS 9.6, and i'm having trouble with creating assignment for it.
I tried creating different model types by defining different views for each new model type, but no matter what I try, I can create assignment only for the following object types: Information carrier and Structural element.
I need to create an assignment for IT function type object, how should I define the model so it would be possible to create the assignment?
Thanks,
Shahaf
Hello,
You need to define "which models to assign to a specific type of object" using filters. So you need to update filter that you are using.
On top of this, ARIS lets you assign a specific set of models to specific object types. In filter editor, while defining assignments for an object, the list you will get may not include the model you would like to create an assignment to, that may be the reason for it.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for your response.
I was referring to the a new model type (not the derive model type) that can be created in the ARIS 9.6 version.
My problem is that I tried the way you suggested but the only options I got in the assignments section, was the objects mentioned above. Do you know which objects can get an assignment for the new model type? Does it depend on something you define while using the create new model wizard?
Thanks,
Shahaf
