We would like to put Business Publisher in our intranet. Has anyone faced any performance or security related issues on Business Publisher ARIS 7.1 SR9 and above?

Hi,
You can mutualize the Business Publisher server with your Aris Application Server. 7.1 It work fines (with a few users) on our virtual configuration : 8 Go RAM, 2 CPU, 30 Go allowed on SAN disk.
If you use SSL, you have to deploy the Thawte IDS-Scheer certificate, or reinstall a personnalized PKI corporate certificate.

would you be so kind to provide some further info related to the deployment of the certificate?
While for other Software AG solutions the need for a certificate is expressely declared, Aris Business Publisher documentations ("Server installation and documentation guide") seem to highlight just some minor tweaks to the webappserver.cfg file.

If you stand with the mutual configuration, the certificate will be the same. Just beware of the tricky behave of the Aris 7.1 version. This version has short life certificate server, related to aris.softwareag.com and signed by Thawte authority.
Then, both JVM application applet and https navigation in the publisher will use the same certificat.
