My machine has an Intel Core i5 vPro; 4 GB RAM; running a Windows 7 instance with enough free space for the application to be installed. I have downloaded the latest version of the ARIS Express file from the website yesterday; size 173,777 KB. It is connected to the internet using the corporate network.

I have tried the following options:

1. Completely deleted the installation and any stray folders (including those in the Library - Documents) and reinstalled.

2. Setting the Java proxy servers to match the default broswer settings.

3. Java Browser - Advanced - Security - Mixed Code - "Disable Verification". (Re-enabled after this didn't work)

4. Have the latest version of Java as of today - cross-checked from the website.

Appreciate any help at all to help setup this connection.

Thanks and Regards.

Ram.

Hi Ram,

Express extracts some files into "%USERPROFILE%\ARISExpress" (you can insert this into the windows explorer adress field).

Seems that you do not have rights to create files or folders in that directory?

Bye,

Frank

Hi Frank,

Thanks! for that... you were right - the folder ARISExpress was not created.

I manually created the folder ARISExpress in my user profile and that seems to solve the issue, though I can't see any of the files in it (log, etc.). However, I am able to create and save process models.

Thanks again!

Best Regards.

Ram.
