Hi All, Does ARIS9.5 offer API to integrate with other systems? Is it possible to transport process(EPC/BPMN) data from ARIS to other BPM software through development interface or web service? or Is it possible other BPM software can access/get ARIS process(EPC/BPMN) by development interface? Regards.
Hi Ron,
as far as I know, use-cases for your scenario are as follows:
1. Use the internal ARIS Script (JavaScript) API to export data in any form you choose.
2. Use ARIS Publisher or ARIS Connect to publish any ARIS content on the web, thus eliminating the need to export anything.
3. Integrate with webMethods Designer (TM) to create executable processes from EPC via BPMN generation. A special license extension is required for this.
4. Export any model content in XML format. The main use-case for this function is the transferral of model content between multiple ARIS databases. In ARIS 9.x you need a special license extension to get the XML in plain text for use by 3rd party applications. Normally it's encrypted.
5. A BPMN collaboration diagram (BPMN 2.0) can be exported as XPDL and used by other platforms such as SAP(TM) and IBM(TM).
So: No, there is no public API to use the ARIS Design Server without a client product. But for all practical purposes the possibilities you have within the platform should be satisfying most needs.
I'd be interested to hear, what kind of integration you have in mind.
