Have you lost yourself in a big process model? Are you not able to find objects within the opened process, which you just have modeled one day ago? Or are you still in search of all objects, which have been created by a certain colleague?

If so, then you will like the new find functionality within ARIS Business Designer. It enables you to search for text and highlight it inside the current model with only a few mouse clicks.

Find Model Items

Let´s have a closer look at the latest version of ARIS Business Designer. A new text box with the label "Find" has been added to the designer toolbar.

Click into the text box or just use the well-known shortcut for searching key combination Ctrl+F.

Then type in the text you want to search for (for example the name of an object, the name of a creator, the date of object generation or something else).

By pressing the arrow buttons buttons to fast forward through search results next to the text field or just hitting the return key return key, the text will be highlighted inside the Attributes Tab. And, in case the attribute is visible in the diagram, it will be highlighted within Business Designer as well.

It is possible to search for any text occurrence within your diagram, including attributes of objects (for example the name or description attribute), free-form text elements and model attributes. If the attribute is not visible at all, that means if it is hidden in the Attributes Tab, then it becomes visible there for highlighting.
