Hi guys,
It has been a while since I used ARIS. So I had to switch to the new version 9.6. Now I am faced with a lot of new problems.
One of them is, how do I create a process map in 9.6.?
Does anybody have a recommendation for a pdf with training or a kind of manual?
Thanks for your help!
Sebastian
Hello Sebastian,
no change to ARIS 7.x here. Use Value-added chain diagram (Wertschöpfungskettendiagramm) and create a value chain for each of your processes in that diagram. Then assign your process models to the value chains. Value chains are functions and through the assignment your value chains get a relationship "is process-oriented superior" to all functions contained in the assigned process model.
Some people arrange the value-added chains in "Management processes", "Core processes", and "Supporting processes". Others put "Management" and "Supporting" in one category to avoid fruitless discussions where a particular Non-Core process belongs.
