Hi Soundarya,
The primary reason why customers integrate ARIS with Solution Manager is to enable the realisation / implementation of the processes designed within ARIS within the SAP environments. Solution Manager contains a wealth of functionality that assists during SAP implementations and upgrades, including the centralised documentation of the solution, providing a link between the business focussed process led documentation structure and the IT focused documentation of SAP systems and technical objects (transactions, reports, etc) involved in realising / operating the solutions, and also some functionality to accelerate the technical implementation (direct jump into SAP IMG configuration nodes, centralised change management for the technical objects via QGM or ChaRM, etc).
Essentially, whilst ARIS provides an excellent process led design platform, Solution Manager is key to implementing such designs at a technical level, so in almost every case it makes sense to use the two platforms in a collaborative fashion to help realise the solution.
Happy to discuss further if you want to drop me a mail - my email address is on my contact record.

Ben
