Yesterday, we released ARIS Express 2.1 containing important bug fixes, but also some new features. Along with the new version comes the official ARIS Express poster. The poster shows the most important modeling constructs supported by ARIS Express. It is a quick reference you can use while modeling.
The poster might come in handy if you try to convince your colleagues and fellows to start modeling. You can show them how easy modeling is and that only a few concepts are needed to make powerful diagrams.
The poster is work in progress. I'm pretty sure the descriptions are not perfect yet and we will need to revise it. If you have any comments or ideas how to improve it, please comment below. We will collect the input and update the poster from time to time.
There is a dedicated page for downloading different versions of the poster. Here a preview of how it currently looks like.
A new version of the poster is now available fixing some obvious bugs reported. Make sure to download the new poster in case you want to print it.
Unfortunately, such a poster doesn't exist for ARIS. It would be impossible to create such a general purpose poster for ARIS as it supports way too many modelling notations and objects. However, it is usually a task at the beginning of a BPM project to define the sub-set of notations and objects to use and to document them in some kind of handbook. But as you might guess that is work to be done for each specific BPM effort :-/
