Hi,

are you using the windows version? If yes, you could use the "alternative download" just to register, uninstall it again and try the windows-version afterwards.

If that does not work, you need to contact your IT.

Bye,

Frank

Hi,

I have installed the Windows version and registered a community account, and changed my password.

When starting ARIS Express my user and password are not recognized so the application does not start. I have cleared both Internet Explorer and Java temporary files but still no success. I have looked into the log file and suspect some proxy setting problems.

I have also tried the alternative download mentioned by Frank but no success with that one either.

Regards,

Carl Johan Nyberg

After changing the password again, I managed to start the application.

same problem here.
I have created an Aris account no problem. I have downloaded the windows version of Aris Express and when I try to run it for the first time, I enter my username and password (the same one I use to login to the Aris forum account) and I get a message telling me that my usernanme and or password is not recognised.

Eh?

tried it again today, still cant login, maybe I'll be lucky and it might work tomorrow, or better still, I might get some response as to why this is happening so that I can forge ahead with Business Process Management for my comapny....(or maybe not)

Hi Patricia,

does Express response that the user is not correct, or does Express gives a message that it was not possible to connect to the community to check the password?

In the case that the password check really fails, we have a new issue. Mostly, users changed the passwords or forgotten it. We have hundreds of successful registrations per week, so there must be a special issue with your account or your password.

In case you just use a password with some special characters, it would be worth a try to change your password to one without special characters, just in case you have a combination causing problems.

Bye,

Frank

Hi Frank,

I am not able to logon due to "incorrect username and/or password". Now, the thing is that I know that the username I am trying is valid. Also, when I request for a new password, the system asks me to enter my current password. My username is "sentanmoy". I have not received any password from your end and have neither been asked to create one.

Could you kindly let me know what is going on and how I may be able to get online?

Thanks,

Tanmoy

Hi Tanmoy,

Ok, this happens if you are already logged in. If you don't known your password anymore, then please follow these steps.

1)      Make sure you are logged out of www.ariscommunity.com

2)      Request a “forgot my password”-email http://www.ariscommunity.com/user/password

3)      Click the link in the email you receive

4)      Click the “Log in”-Button

5)      You will be redirected to your profile page were you have to enter a new password two times (any password you like and which meets the requirements).

Your old password is NOT needed!

Regards

Eva

very similar for me : I downloaded last version (16-400) , installed it, then it ask me to login in (using same id as "here" ) => "cannot login to community"
then I tried "alternative" solution => there, I can connect.
