error during connect to SAP

But it seems that this SAP System is not reachable from ARIS Business Server, do you try to connect via SAP GUI to the AAP ECC 6.0 system?

Hi Paul,

you write that you want to synchronize ARIS and SAP ECC system - but the ARIS synchronisation works only with the Solution Manager System - but you can start transactions from other SAP system.
Sometimes if this error occurs it helps if you enter the IP address and the DNS name of the ECC system into the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" because maybe the system on which ARIS is installed can't resolve the IP address from the DNS name.

Yes, I am trying to synchronize ARIS and SAP Solution Manager. In ARIS Business Architect for SAP 7.1, I added solution manager as SAP server. In SAP settings, the application service is "dev" and it has SAP router string. Do you mean I have to know the IP address and put it into hosts?

Hi Paul,

yes sometime it helps if you put the IP address and the DNS name of the SAP system which makes the trouble into hosts! And please keep in mind that the synchronisation is executed on the ARIS Business Server and therefore the SAP system have to be available from the system on which the ARIS Business Server runs.
