Dear all,

I have created a new client in Aris PPM with SQL2012 database connection. That was not a problem. Then I configured the data source mgt. - no problem. Then I started the extract from the data source - no problem. After that I wanted to reinitialize the database. But this program caused an error message (see attachment). If I want to start the client via Aris Cloud Control (start PPM01_cs), I also get an error message. The aris PPM01_as can be started - no problem. Does anyone have a guess where the problem could be?

Maybe you tried to initialize the PPM database twice but didn't set the overwrite flag!?

And did you check the log files?

C:\SoftwareAG\ppm\server\bin\work\work_PPM01_cs\defaultLog\PPM01_cs_system.out.log

C:\SoftwareAG\ppm\server\bin\work\data_ppm\custom\PPM01\log

In general, I always avoid uppercase PPM client names, but I can't tell whether that's a must. but referring to the PPM example umg_en/umg_de, you won't find uppercase except maybe the database user names/logins/schemas.
