Hello Everybody,
I was wondering if it is possible to create a web service description from ARIS (that means a wsdl file and a UML component diagram of the service, similar to the ones that are generated for the entire EPC when EPC is transformed into BPEL)? So far this diagram can only be generated if a web service description file is imported into ARIS Repository.
I was wondering why such a description couldn't be generated automatically from the Access diagram? (After all it describes the service pretty well :))
Thank you very much for your assistance and opinions in advance.
Hello Veselin,
you are not the first one asking for this functionality. To create WSDL skeletons from the bunsiness/software service modeling levels and to re-import the implemented and deployed service again into ARIS is one one of the topics we have on our list. But at the moment I cannot give a concrete statement when the realization of this feature can be expected. After the aqusition by Software AG we have of course to adjust our development plans, but I believe that this request will remain part of our plans.
Best regards
Uwe
Sorry, this has not been implemented and there is also no plan for the near future. In the next bigger ARIS release the focus is on the ARIS - webMethods - CentraSite integration, part of that is also the support of top down service development, similar to the above described idea, but using CentraSite as SOA Governance Repository storing the WSDLs and ARIS keeping the Software Services Types only.
