Good study on how process modelling with ARIS can shorten application development live cycle?

I'm working with a big government organization doing initial consulting on Business Architecture and a process definition pilot, using ARIS, of course.

The process department chief is asking as about the benefits of process modelling also to shorten development live cycle linking process defintion modelling with application functional requirements to development.

So I'm looking for a good article or study that provides convincent data that demonstrates that and can use tt to reinforce our message.

Any help on that?
