We are getting an error " unable to connect to server. There is no service available for the port you specified " when trying to add server in the ARIS Architect tool in local system. No issue with services as the services are up & working fine. In the logs also, we didn't find any proper error log.

Kindly help us in resolving the issue.

Hi,

you do not need to add the server name in an ARIS server installation with local database system.

This will not work because such a connect tries to connect with the standard TCP/IP Port number which is different in an local ARIS system.

You should already have the entry "LOCAL" in your ARIS connection dialog without entering it.

This is the only way to start and connect to an local ARIS system.

If the option LOCAL is not present, you may not have imported an valid client license during the initial setup.

If that is the case, please start the ARIS client setup  again and use the option "adapt licenses" and import a valid client license (e.g. ARIS architect) in the appropriate dialog.

Uninstalling and fresh installing with license import works also...

Regards

Patrik
