I have been told that ARIS Process Governance Engine can "automate" the ARIS/SolMan synchronization process, but I would like to know what this really means. Does this mean that I can setup a project-wide, round-trip sync to run at a specific time without any human interaction or does this still require someone to manually start the sync process?
We are looking for a way to automatically sync during non-business hours without the need for someone to login at night and manually start the sync. Almost like a Windows Scheduled Task or a Cron job.
If anyone has any insight into what ARIS Process Governance Engine offers or any other solutions they are using, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for any input!

Hello Brian,
yes - we offer the synchronization as a web service as part of the APG offerings. This means you can include the synch in your APG process and the synchronization can be triggered by a time event or included in a batch process. All the log in information and synch sesstings are done in advance and this also reduced the error rate since the synch is always using the same settings. If you send me an e-Mail: sinje.seidler@softwareag.com I can send you a presentation about this. If you need more information we could find someone in your country to show it to you.
I hope I could help you.
Cheers
Sinje
Thank you for the information Sinje! We are working with our account manager to get a demo and also looking into some software automation options like QTP and TMART. I realize AGP offers much more than just automating the sync and at we are really just looking for that automation peice, so we are keeping our options open.
Thanks again!
