Hello Aris Gurus,
In Aris Business Architect 7.2 I am adding system users to a few databases via LDAP import.
In ldap I can search for the user, add it to a database and give it all priviliges including system user.
How is this sytem user synchronized to Business Publisher.
When I goto the portal via http://publisherserver/businesspublisher and log in with Root account, click the Users icon and see the following accounts: System, with Source "Aris" and an account with source "External system".
What do I have to do to get the system users from Business Server synced to Business Publisher?
Thanks for your reactions.
Regards
Hello Marcel,
if you have configured LDAP authentication for your servers it is not necessary to transfer user groups from Business to Publisher server. As you wrote you can see the system user in Publisher' administration because it is a local Aris user, the source external system means LDAP service.
But what problem do you want to solve: login/authentication on Publisher? Or user access to the Publisher export?
You can find an earlier post about LDAP config here
Also Aris 7.2 install package should have a doc like "quick_start_guide_aris_bpub".
Access to Publisher exports depends on user group permissions in the source database on Business server. This db has to have at least one user group with at least read access and all users who should access the content must be members. It is also preferable to assign a method filter to this group in order to limit the size of Publisher exports.
Publisher simply ignores individual user permissions.
On the Publisher server's administrators page "profiles" an export must be activated (made visible). An export profile is usually named as "Export name.Usergroup name.(Method Filter Name)". Optionally you can allow anonymous access.
