Hi Community,
It’s a few weeks before Christmas and I want to give you the chance to wish for the report tutorials topics you’d like to see in the future.
BUT: like every wish….it might come true…or it might not ;-)!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you wished for…
Hello Eva,
My wish would be to output a table for determining what models have been changed since being versioned. So my ideal report would output a list of only models in the database in which the "Last Change" timestamp attribute was at an later time than the timestamp of the last created version for that model.
That way I would know the specific models in which I need to perform Change Management and obtain approval for the changes that are reflected in the workspace model.
Thanks!

Dear MS Klein,
Maybe this is a bit funny or even childish:) but I wish to have a report that would extract the following information from an EPC model.
Say this is my EPC model:
The report would display the following information:
All connections are of 'Carries out' types.
Thanks
Shameem
Good wishes:-)....
@ Stefan: did you mean only a list with model names of the models which have been updated?
@ Brandon: it is not really a report or macro wish, but I see what I can do....
@ Shameem: it is a nice tutorial wish, not childish:)....
...I'm looking forward to seeing what the next wishes are…
Regards
Eva
Hello Eva,
Though its past Christmas, posting below some of my wishes for the New Year :-)
#1. An excel report that can recursively get the Model-Function hierarchy (ie, starting with the selected folder or at the db's base folder, lists names of models, each of its function along with names of child models assigned to those functions). Format pasted below with L1, L2, L3 notations used to represent the model hierarchy levels.
#2. Extending the above report -- for each of the lower-most function (ie, without any assigned model), lists the Application, Roles / organization Unit, Input & Outputs attached to that function apart from the information already covered by the above report.
#3. Report extracting the list of models changed after last versioning and their group -- same as Stefan's request
#4. Object Occurrences report in Excel format
#5. List of objects in the database having no occurrences -- most of us employ a roundabout way as mentioned by Martin in this thread but it'll be good to have a direct report.
#6. This is not on the Reports but something required on priority -- We would like to reuse some of the standard semantic check rules in a custom semantic check profile, where some more custom-built semantic check rules are included and the resultant report having consistent custom formating for standard & custom-built rules. But not sure how the in-built output formatting in the standard semantic check rules can be changed.. Will appreciate some info around how this could be achieved -- wherein we reuse what comes as out-of-box and can extend them further (which can even be shared back, within the community).
Wish you a good holiday season and a Happy New Year !!
Thanks & Regards,
Shankar
Hello Eva
I'm a bit late, but i have a simple wish:
I'm looking forward to have a method in the script-editor like getSelectedChangeList() (see Article)
At the moment it is very complicated to get the ChangeList from the selected model. This would help in varous comparing-reports.
Thanks and have a good weekend
