Registry an?
Viele Grüße und 1000Dank

Hi Heinrich, you can find here some experts even for ARIS PPM issues and questions :)
I've been confronting with the "warning" you mentioned since version 5.0 while initializing a client and it has never caused an issue. I'd say you can leave it if the demo client was initialized successful and runs without any other issues.

Hello Jiri,
I am very glad about PPM experts here in the community!
And thank you very much about your hint. This would be a very nice solution (because it is very easy). But when I tried to start the PPM client the following error message occured: "The client does not exist".
I think that I've done the client installation right. Do you have any further idea?
Note: Today i discovered that Windows Server 2012 is not support for ARIS PPM 9 (or 9.7). Do you think this could be the cause of my problems?
Regards
Heinrich
PS. Assuming you have ticked all necessary in the client setup dialog concerning RMI and so on.
BR,
Jiri
Hi, quite delayed, but the message Client doesn't exist means simply the installed client, in your case the UMG demo client, doesn't run. And there can be several reasons why the client doesn't run or even more can't run. First of all you should back up old log files and remove them, then try to start whole infrastructure step by step again to see if it is error free, meaning ppm tomcat, umc tomcat, corba, RMI... If you don't find any serious error you can proceed to start the client itself (to start the client's services if installed as a services during installation wizard)and collect logs. If you need more details, get back to me. Regards Jiri
I'll check platform matrix if the win server 2012 is supported or not, but I'd not expect it to be the root cause. The installation of PPM is not a piece of cake, especially if you are not used to doing it. The whole infrastructure is quite complex and you need to be very precise at every single part and step as they are supposed to work together. If one doesn't understand even one of all parts it's always better to ask for support to be 100% sure the installation will be performed in the right way. It saves troubles in future :)
Thank you very much again. I will try your hints (even to engage professional support). If I find out something relevant I will post it.
Regards,
Heinrich
