It’s already over? Day 5 and already the last day of this year’s and first time virtual IUG. It was a great event and everything worked smoothly. Well I enjoyed every single presentation and I hope you did too! But honestly we are already looking forward to meet you in person next year. Not only that, if I take a look at my living-room now, I do appreciate when I do not need to tidy it all up myself ;-) Take a look at the end of this post – OMG!
But now back to the IUG ARIS program. This last day was pretty exciting.
- Juliana Johari, Manager (Organizational Transformation), at Petronas, a leading oil & gas company from APJ told us their transformation story. A big journey starting from an internal and external risk assessment and leading without a doubt to CHANGE in “very source of truth”. Petronas BPM Center of Excellence aligns with the company’s statement of purpose from strategic to tactical, from the enterprise value chain to the operating model (or in our words from strategy to everyone ;-) Standardize, govern and align towards one common BPM goal are just a few highlights on their transformation journey. BPM is becoming mission-critical. Love the lessons learned on communication, mgt buy-in, and also the kudos to my APJ colleagues :-) We <3 our customers and they obviously really love us too!
- I also hope you enjoyed the hands-on from my colleagues Cecilia Lauer & Tom Thaler. Tom started with an overview of the RPA building blocks (discover, analyze, design, develop, deploy and capture benefits) and demoed it live in ARIS. Then Cecilia took over with an update on the newest quick modeling functionalities of ARIS 10SR12 – also live and exciting. I you don’t already use it, well you should, it’s pretty powerful!
- To finalize this last IUG day our ARIS R&D led an interactive sessions on UX best practices illustrated by the example of Smart Modeling . Many participants and a vivid discussion were key in this session.
BTW if you missed some of these great presentations, pls. make sure to watch them as-long as they are available on demand:

Thanks again to Pieter & Stuart for taking over a lot of the organizational stuff and supporting us as active members and leaders of the ARIS user group.
Sooo everyone SEE you next year I hope and in the meantime do not hesitate to get in touch with us!
Take care & thanks everyone for participating
Josèphe (on behalf of the whole ARIS team)
PS: that's my experience at the end of IUG - OMG
