ARIS Upgrade from SR2 to SR7

Hi, We are currently on ARIS 7.1.390905 SR2 and planning to upgrade the version to 7.1.490292 SR7 soon. Could anyone please help me to understand the following points:

If we upgrade ARIS version directly from SR2 to SR7, will all the functionalities/improvements till SR6 be also covered? OR Do we need to install all the versions from SR2 to SR7 sequentially?
Has there been any issues or challenges faced by anyone while upgrading ARIS Version to SR7? If yes, can you please share these known errors as it will be very useful for us to plan the upgradation.

PLease let me know if any furthur information is required.

Hi,

to the first question: yes, SR7 contains all improvements/functionalities of the previous versions.

We upgraded our ARIS server from SR1 to SR5 with no problems. The upgrade to our 70+ desktop clients was not so easy. Since upgrading the major thing we're experiencing is sluggishness with our ARIS server. The enhancements made in SR5 were worth the upgrade.

Now I'm looking at upgrading us once again from SR5 to SR8b. My hope is that this will go smoother. Yet we'll probably still experience the client upgrade issue, unless anyone knows of a way to push updates automatically to desktop clients easily. Our Help Desk group prefers automatic upgrades, yet I haven't been able to work that out yet.

Jackie, have a look at View > Options > Automatic Updates. There you can enter the address from where your clients can download the latest version - ARIS will check if there are new client versions on your server and then trigger the download as needed.
