Hello Klaus,
with this tight information it is a little bit speculative, but i think the problem is the absecence of the DLL msvcr71.dll in your Windows PATH environment variable. I have seen this before on an italian Windows XP, where this DLL exists not at all. Sounds curious but it is a fact.
This problem of the Java 6 SE is also well known by Sun, but topically there are no efforts to sustainably solve this problem.
But the solution is normaly easy. So please try to copy a msvcr71.dll into the directory [your mashzone installation]/system/tomcat/bin of your MashZone installation. You can find a instance of the DLL msvcr71.dll in [your mashzone installation]/system/jre/bin.
After copying msvcr71.dll you have to reinstall the service. First trigger [your mashzone installation]/system/_setup/uninstall_mashzone_service.bat and afterwards [your mashzone installation]/system/_setup/install_mashzone_service.bat.
That's it. Now you should be able to start the MashZone Service as usual.
If this advice does not fix your problem, please post additional informations about your Windows system and also a deeper look at the MashZone logfiles might be helpful.
Best regards
Thomas
