Hello,
I have a database published in ARIS Business Publisher 7.0.2.
Here is a sample of our entry model:
All white boxes are structural elements occs and each one has an assignment to a model (fads, appl sys type diag, ... various model types).
All assignments work in IT Architect (ie, they open the assigned model when clicked). However, in Business Publisher the "IT Systems" assignment does nothing (mouse cursor doesn't change to a "hand"). It's visible but not clickable.
Any ideas on what may be causing the assignment's "non clickability".
Thanks in advance!
Hello Kyle,
maybe this issue is related. We had a similar problem on 7.02 Publisher with assignments to connections. As the discussion points to layers of object occourrences, connections, placed attributes and/or graphic shapes being the problem:
Can you migrate to the latest Aris release?
Can you publish your model without the underlying green boxes?
If not, try to arrange the structural elements occs explicitly in front of the underlying green boxes before publishing.
Regards, Martin
Thank you both for your replies.
@Roland: I've double checked - export was done using "Entire Method"
@Martin: Unfortunately I'm stuck with 7.0.2... I'm going to try publishing without the green boxes and try reordering the elements, it seems a good experiment to try.
Thanks!
Thanks for your reply!
I believe the model is published since I publish everything. However your suggestion reminds me of another issue I still haven't checked - permissions.
I'm logging into Business Publisher with a user who has no access (permissions = '---') to the group where the model is stored.
If the assignment targets something the user has no access to, it makes sense the assignment is disabled.
A few more minutes and I'll have the results.
Thanks!
