Hi all,

Have you ever experienced problem with importing data feeds or mashups due to incompatible license edition?

We have developed everything on temporary license - type EVENT and tried to migrate to proper installation - license type ENTERPRISE but I get this error:

Unable to import the Data feed "<NAME>" due to incompatible license edition EVENT.

I find it really strange that "higher" license version cannot accept items developed on "lower" version.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Thanks

Dear Lubomir,

in fact the Event Edition is "higher" than Enterprise. The Event Edition is not even listed in this comparison table of MashZone editions, since it's sold not through the MashZone shop but only in combination with webMethods Business Events.

The following solution requires that you are using MashZone 2.2:

  • Save all mashups and all data feeds on your MashZone source installation (Event Edition).
  • Export all mashups in your source installation and import into the target installation (Enterprise Edition)

That should avoid getting that error message.

Cheers

Dear Rune,

The EVENT license is already expired but I exported everything before. The problem is that version of MashZone was 2.1. Now since we have ENTERPRISE license we installed version 2.2 but import does not work.

Now even if I use ENTERPRISE license on v2.1 and export everything it is not possible to import it into v2.2 because of already mentioned problem.

Any other solution? Or do we have to painfully redevelop everything? To redevelop everything would not be that painful if on version 2.1 would be possible to display content of existing data feeds and mashups developed under EVENT license. Since EVENT licesne is expired it's not possible. :-(

Thank you

Dear Lubomir,

No, you don't need to redevelop anything. There is still a way to get your data migrated to the new version/edition.

Have you contacted Global Support ARIS?

I think that's the easiest way to get this done quickly.

Cheers
